Being as once the truck is super warmed up it seems OK... what are thoughts on temp sensors or thermostat? No codes for those (not sure what they would throw) and the temp gauge seems to act normal.

Any chance you have an IID tool? You could just begin recording a plot of your temp sensor outputs and look for any anomalies (spikes/dips) etc. I would start recording just before you start the car, then continue recording until the car warms up and everything seems normal.

Nope, unfortunately not.

Just ran and cleared the codes. She is running strong now but she is fully warmed up. Here are the codes if anyone can make anything out of them. I will put in the other post too for later searches:
P0301 - Cyl 1 Misfire
P0302 - Cyl 2 Misfire
P0304 - Cyl 4 Misfire
P0305 - Cyl 5 Misfire
P0308 - Cyl 6 Misfire
P0300 - Random / Multiple Misfire
P0316 - Misfire detected 1st 1000 Revs
I think that is one additional than I had before I cleared them last time, but the seafoam induction cleaning likely triggered some. Now to figure out the pattern...

Check your EGR. Is it running lean?

Not running lean from what I can tell, and never a code for running lean either. I'm thinking if it were this I would see other codes though, and likely would be issues across all temperature ranges and not just when cold. I might have to look at cleaning this though.

snafu, any luck with this issue yet? I am chasing a very similar problem in my 06 lr3 with 4.4 engine and keep coming up empty. i had/have all your codes plus mine was giving codes for running lean so i replaced the egr valve hoping it would work. Slight improvement as now i only have misfire on 5, and 6. With codes for multiple misfire and misfire on start up and still a lean code but now only on bank 2. Hope you have had some luck bc this is frustrating me beyond brlief.

I'm having the exact same issue as well. Cleaned the throttle body and MAF, then replaced the MAF. No change. Was thinking about doing the crankshaft position sensor next.

Did you ever try swapping a coil pack from a good cylinder with a misfiring cylinder to see if the misfiring cylinders changed? I didn't see this in the thread or maybe I was reading too quickly.

My experience was that 1 bad coil pack caused 2 cylinders to misfire. I also noticed that after one coil pack failed others started failing, too. If you were unlucky enough to have 2 fail at once it could be causing at least 4 misfiring cylinders. Here is more detail of my experience: https://landroverforums.com/forum/lr...message-76119/

On my LR3 I could tell that 2 of my original coil packs had been replaced because the physical design was different from the other 6. I eventually ended up having to replace all of the remaining 6 original coil packs. Based upon my experience, the next time 1 coil pack fails I will replace all 8.

The swapping of coils is a good trick, especially if you have a scanner with live data abilities.

I usually do a BG induction service on cars that are misfiring, especially when there are 4 or more cylinders.
