Default Spare Tire Mechanism

While getting some undercoating put on the truck today, the shop lowered the spare to spray underneath but when they went to lift it back up the nut would spin but no upward cable action...

Looks like a new mechanism is needed to be ordered... does anyone have the LR part number for this? Is there any advice I need to heed or is this as straight forward as it seems?

Thanx

So... while looking online for a replacement I noticed the new ones don't have the hex bolt for unwinding like the original but a rectangular tab with a hole in it... just wondering if Land Rover changed designs or are these knockoffs I'm looking at. Dealer wants $320 plus tax but I can get one for $150 tax and shipping included. Is it a waste of time to get the Ebay one?

Thanx again for any answers...

New design is the tab with hole.

people were using impacts on the nut, so they changed it to remove the temptation. Now you use the hook tool in the jack kit.

Just replaced mine last week with aftermarket version from BPU, it still has the hex.

I was guilty of using an electric driver too many times on mine and the cable inside finally tangled in the housing. I will not make that mistake again.
