So you found the end of the large lock pin?

How were you able to pull the green lever out and hit the pin at the same time? If you don't pull the green lever out I don't think you can hammer back in.

I did you can see it from the backside near the spare tire. I was able to lock the handle out with a pair of vice grips while I beat on it and it laughed at me.....

Yea that is some kind of BS there. Do you have the low snow plow version or the short stubby LR hitch? Wondering if you can get your full sized spare out.

I'm thinking it's the stubby. Version. I'm sure I could get the spare out.

There is not much room. I would have to remove the spare tire (if possible)
then find the pin and maybe get a punch and hammer. But then I would need to hold the green handle pulled out or it would be in Locked position.

two man job probably.
I had to drop the spare tire and remove the handle to hammer the main pin. The green handle came out by driving its little pin with a hammer and nail. Removing the red doohicky allowed me to remove the handle shaft. I then used a long bolt and a heavy mallet to drive the main pin into the housing. That worked, I was able to drop the hitch. Unfortunately he pin then became jammed inside the hitch. I had to drill a hole in the butt of the housing, and hammer a nail to drive the pin back out. It was then I decided to dismantle the hitch and try to get it working again.
