I have a 2007 LR3. Chassis has 210K miles, Firewall forward has 5K miles. I periodically get a red “Suspension” warning light. It seems as if all the suspension goes away and I feel every bump in the road. The message light comes on and tells me to keep the speed at no more than 30 mph. There is no consistency to the occurrence. It happens in stop-and-go traffic and happens on the interstate. Speed does not appear to be a factor. Today, it happened on both country roads and on the intestate. The fault occurred at about 5 minute intervals, then it worked fine for the rest of the day (stop-ang-go for about 15 miles. When it occurs, I stop, switch off the engine, wait 60 seconds, crank it up and everything is normal. I drive on paved roads all the time, so I have had no occasion to use any setting other than highway driving. It has been about two weeks since it occurred the last time. The today, I had five different occurrences, all within a 30 minute period. Now it is fine. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

 

Get the Rover codes. It will tell you the issue.

But as he said, check the wiring, clean the connection, etc. Lastly replace the sensor.
