I’m considering getting a satellite compatible iPad mini to use for navigation. My thought is that I’d attach something like a RAM mount holder inside the cubby where the stock navigation would have been if I had that option. The ipad would the cover that cubby area on the dash. Any advise on a good mount or consideration on what I’m thinking of doing?

 

I was using a Nexus7 tablet in the same location and i made a simple aluminium bracket that gripped the sides of the tablet and squeezed into the opening, was pretty basis but did the job.
I see some better alternatives on thingiverse if you have access to a 3D printer.
