Default Test Drove an 06 SE V8, a few questions

Greetings LR Gurus.

I drove my first LR3 this past weekend - we are looking to get my wife a big comfy SUV that will double as an adventure rig. She LOVES the LR3 and I have always loved Land Rovers.

A couple questions. We test drove a 2006 LR3 SE V8 with 90k on the clock. Two owner vehicle, that appears to have had regular service. I have a few records and am going to call the two LR dealers it was serviced at for more info. The truck was clean and quiet and drove quite nice. I have a few questions, though.

When I put the truck in the highest suspension setting, the air compressor was continually running - is this normal? I did not hear the compressor running when the vehicle was in standard mode or access mode. There was a wooshing/water sloshing sound from underneath the driver's dash. I feel like I have seen mention of a "waterfall" noise, but I dont know what this indicative of and my searches on here have not given me an answer. Is this A/C compressor not draining? blockage of some other drain? The carpets were not damp.

What else should I be looking for? What are some known issues that should've been addressed in the first 90k? Asking price is $13,999. Seems to be pretty fair.

No, compressor shouldn't run continuously in off-road height. Waterfall sounds like air bubbles in coolant: needs bleeding. Also sign of potential head gasket issue

I just purchased an '07 LR3 last week. I only hear compressor run when car starts (maybe for 15 seconds) and after I lower vehicle (maybe a minute). How does your tranny sound? Much noise coming from the undercarriage as you drive (at any speed)? The 'hum' coming from my undercarriage is louder than what I would expect. I'm trying to figure out if I have a problem or is this just inherent to the LR3. Good luck with the LR3.

I have an 07 with 75000 miles the whining/rubbing sound from the undercarriage turned out to be a bad rear diff. My service guy said you need to change the diff fluid in these every 30000 miles despite the rover recommendation of 75000 to avoid problems.
