The ball joint stud is smaller? Thats odd, and dangerously really. They should fit fine with a lower tapered portion to give a solid interface into the knuckle.

Its does not take much to make your alignment off, but you toe would be off not the camber. A half turn of the inner rod can have a BIG impact on toe. If DIY its a lot of adjusting/driving to get it right. Its possible your errors are cause by it being so off that your steering wheel is out of alignment with the steering angle sensor, that can mess up all sorts of programing.

Yes, the stud is physically smaller in diameter, length is fine. I'm just not comfortable with these parts, starting to believe they shipped wrong ones.

Sorry, yes the toe is off, the steering wheel is out of alignment. I'm about to admit defeat, and have the LR garage do it. It's time for lower control arms anyways, they want $1500 for that. Saving money is out the door at this point.

I love this truck it's been super reliable, can haul anything, and I've been able to do 90% of repairs so far. Want to keep as long as possible.

I just did my tie rods this weekend and thank goodness for that video or the sleeve/cup issue would have been confusing. Btw those cups were a bear to get off (used torch, oil, bent one puller and finally came off with a new puller).
