Default Thinking of looking at tho LR3 for Son and to get Dirty

So I am thinking of looking at this late 2007 LR3 for my Sons First Car and for me to use to go get dirty.
The good, 1 owner, full service history, lots of new parts been done such as control arms, ball joints, suspension compressor, hubs Etc Etc they guy who is selling is original owner so no dealers involved.
The not so good, 214000miles. Miles were from a long work commute in Texas. The transmission has never been Service as dealer said sealed for life ( ha heard that one before)
landy has no fault codes and is driving perfectly.
May be able to get for $6500
so thoughts people as even though this is going to be a car for a student to drive 214k miles would be new territory for me I have not seen any LR3's with that sort of mileage.
I drive an LR3 that actually is exactly the same but only 101k miles.

The Jag motors in them are very solid performers. Have it checked out by a competent land rover mechanic. In the end it is a high mileage used car de your due diligence.

Like said above, the '06-09 motors are real good, so that is a plus. The miles would not concern me as far as the motor goes.

That is alot of miles for the tranny, and I suspect if anything gives you issues, it would be the trans or one of the struts, if still original.
These transmissions are NOT sealed for life and according to ZF (the manufacturer of the transmission), they should be serviced every 65,000 miles. If you purchase this, a trans service is one of the first things I would do. There are a few things you can do while in there, to help reduce issues down the road.

I would say that $6500 is a fair price, assuming the vehicle is in good shape aside from the work that has already been done.

yep it's in real good shape actually better than my 2006 with 101k miles yep Trans service is a must. The other stuff that usually goes has been done Struts, compressors both Suspension & Ac control arms hubs almost everything has been done in the last 20-25k seller seems really genuine I have a really good Indy garage that only does Landys so will be taking it to him before purchase. I am looking for a tank that my 17 yr old wil drive daily on a liability only insurance so this fits the bill. I was just worried about the mileage on the motor, I had heard that they are really good and at that price even if I have to replace in the future that will be exceptable.

Let this one go as my Landy indi mech said if the trans has not been serviced it will be toast sooner than later and at thousands to replace keep looking for a lower mile car. So the hunt continues.
