Throttle over run

Default Throttle over run
We have recently acquired a 27 discovery 3 2007when the throttle is released there is a lag before the engine returns to idle. Can enyone sergest a reson for this

Possible throttle body needs adjustment or sticking.

Try looking at this forum in the UK , these guys have lot more posts about diesels.
