That is what the MFG lists the size as

Should be in my hands on Monday and with a little luck on my LR3 shortly after that. I'll get a real life measurement when they arrive

I'd worry about the height but it's only 0.5" larger than 275/65. I'd worry about width but we (as a community) commonly ran 285s in the Cooper Zeon. I guess there is unsprung weight to consider, but overall I think it's a fine size.

I'm going to stick with 275/65....unless the MT/R is offered in 285 in a Load rating of E.

...and now to go check!

No dice.

I looked at the Cooper site though; and interestingly their 285/65R18 tires run a little larger, checking in at 32.9" OD. I've heard this before, tires from various manufacturer's can be slightly bigger or smaller...like shoes.

Anyway, fun to look and do the research. For me, I've run the 275s for so long and with good success and I'm not going to mess with that formula. As it were, going from Goodyears to Coopers in the "same size" will mean a little taller tire anyhow. I probably won't notice 0.2" but it'll be there nonetheless.

The Trail Blade XT arrived and I have almost 3k miles on them now. Ride was way quieter from a road noise stand point that I would have expected. Road handling manners are very good. They were fantastic in the snow as well.

So far I'm happy with them. Only real downside I have seen so far is they took a lot of weight to balance out. Around 7.5 ounces per wheel. They look really good on the LR3 as well

So I guess I need to eat some crow.

My Atturo Trail Blade XT are coming off the LR3. 1 year and 20k miles and one has quite a few splits in the tread (a few over 4" long) and pretty sure a bad belt. In total there is tread separating on 3 of the 4 tires and the other looks like it is about to do the same. I can pull one of the splits open and see what I'm pretty sure is the belt.

I think the Atturo are fine for the lighter trucks but I don't think they are up to LR3 weight class.

General Grabber X3 will be taking their place next week.

Good to know. I had a horrible experience with Duratracks two years a go at Romp. Are you taking Atturos for the last trip to Maine in few days ?
