Default Tire choices

I have an 08 LR3 HSE with the 19" wheels. I am not pleased with the snow traction of the factory tires and am looking to replace these. I have heard good things about the Pirelli Scorpions and also that there is one version that actually has a mileage warranty against premature wear.
How are these as year round tires? Any other thoughts are appreciated.

The vehicle is being used primarily onroad at this time and I am most concerned with highway type usage and getting to the ski areas in storms.

Thanks guys!

Sixxy:

The Perelli is your only choice for an AT tire with that rim size. There are some other SUV tires you can consider. I compiled a tire size chart with a list of options for different rim sizes:http://johnsonrods.com

Consider trading in your 19 for 18 inch rims to increase your options.

Default Tire options

I was offered a good deal on a set of Toyo Proxes (staying with the 19's for now at least). I havent heard of this tire and don't see any feedback on any of the Landrover forums.
Does anyone have experience with these?

this is our second LR3 we have had for 2 years + now.. We selected continental Cross contacts. By far the best tire we have had. NO road noise at all and they look brand new after months of riding. Far better than the stock goodyears for sure. Oh, we have an 18inch rim on our second LR3 due to few options for 19inch rims that are pratical out there.
