now vehicle shifts fine. Had thought the whole relearing thing was a bit overblown, but the trans did shift fine sometimes, then it seemed to slip....but that binding linkage mimicked a slipping trans perfectly!...once it was replaced, trans shifts better than it did before!
Lol, wow glad you got it fixed. Those are the worse type of things to happen. Some non related issue decides to occur the same time you change the oil. What are the odds of that happening?

So the linkage which could have froze up months before or months later decides to freeze up between the time you change it and the time you test it. (like 4 hours) Then you get put on a wild goose chase. Any chance you bumped this linkage while jacking up the tranny during the change?

Its been almost 1 years since you did this. So the car has been sitting for a year and finally a fix?

Default Tranny fluid change...now no drive

Yep....no problems whatsoever.....at least on the trans(still got the instrument gauge cluster blinking out intermittently, but thats a story for another time!)

Yeah....talk about coincidence.....I doubt the linkage was bumped, its not really in the way to dropping the pan, and it didn't really even look too rusted.....
just happened to bump into this youtube clip...…

and thought it was worth a try.....unbelievable!.....
