Transmission Fault
#11
OK, I've pulled the mechatronic unit from the transmission, replaced the 7 solenoids and am trying to refit it. I am struggling with engaging the new wiring harness sleeve to the electrical connector's locking tab on the mechatronic - it won't close. It seems a metal spring plate stops it closing.
Any advice on how to reinstall this part?

where did you buy the new solenoids, and can you remove them while it is still in the transmition or do you have to pull the valve body out to replace them

You will need the following:
solenoids
connector sleeve
pan gasket
upgraded transmission pan with separate transmission filter (remove old pan by cutting plastic neck off the old integrated filter, no need to remove exhaust, cross-member or raise the engine)
Lifeguard 6 fluid
Fluid pump.
Cost me around $600 and maybe 4 hours all up, which is less than most places would charge you for a transmission fluid and filter change.

Done
Well it was about 6ish hours today but it is done and it shifts like a dream
- i drained the oil
- removed the pan
- removed the valve body
- replaced the solenoids which through me for a loop the old ones were yellow, green, and one black, the new ones are yellow, blue and one black so i found a YouTube guy that workes on these transmisions and his new ones are blue so i put them in
- installed the valve body
- installed the sleeve
- installed the filter and pan
- filled her up
- road test and super stoked how it is shifting
again i appreciate all the info
it was a pain in the neck only having the vehicle on jack stands but still worth it
