Hey All:

Small issue bothering me. Every time I shift my LR3 into drive the Transmission Fault appears then goes away after 1-2 seconds. This only happens once after starting it. If I'm driving and shift back to park and then drive again no error. But without fail every first shift after starting I get the message. Nothing coming up on the scan tool either (no error codes). There are no driving issues ever while driving that would suggest any real transmission issues.

Anyone smarter than me with some advice!

Under the right side, NA models, there is the transmission shifter linkage. Lubricate it with silicone spray, liberally. Only slightly awkward to locate, but its very visible when you spot it. Try that first and report back.
