Default Transmission stuck

I have an 05 that I just purchased with 250k miles on her , prestine condition . Previous owner said trans was slipping . So I tried to add fluid to trans because with her running there was no fluid dripping out . So I tried to add some yesterday with what kit I had . Just a hose blowing some in . I took her down road drive great but also would not pick up speed . She would take off at about 2500 rpm’s . Then after driving for about 10 15 minutes she would not drive anymore meaning you put her into gear and nothing .
SO … does she just need more fluid and I didn’t fill up enough or should I take her in because reverse is not working at all as well and the code pulled is for reverse , I think it was p0739. Ideas ???

I'd do a drain and refill with quality fluid and see how it goes, if you filled it using the correct procedure and it was just trickling out when you put the plug back in then its got the right level.
Would be due a valve body rebuild by now which would be about $750 or so well spent.

So I did a fill and she has driven now and goes in reverse as well. But, after third gear, she will not shift to fourth so she stays at 3000 RPMs also to the tachometer she’ll jump up at 1500 RPMs and come back down to 2000. That’s where I’m at now .

Similar symptoms to what i had, rebuilt the valve body and it drives like new again. Have you had the DTC codes read, usually P0730-0736.

None that will help you since i'm on the other side of the planet, if you search the forum for ZF6HP there are a few posts that mention part suppliers.
