Default Trim Option?

As I look for an LR3, I've noticed that on rare occasion I come across a truck with a black trim piece that runs across the lower third of the doors. But it is rare. Was this a limited option or something?

Dealer option.

Worked well on our first LR3 and looked OK ( 3 was some sorta light green color)

I've got it, it just sticks on. Adds a little bit more protection to the lower part of the doors. Personally, I prefer the look without, but the protection combined with the effort required to pull it off and buff off any adhesive means they are staying on for now.

Those are good for the occasional runaway ghost pushed shopping carts in parking lots and that to close of a parked car. I prefer sliders to keep them off bay.

...sliders help for (front doors) of sedans, but not for taller vehicles.

I've tested this.
