Unhappy Unsure about LR3 fault problems

My wife just tried leaving home and when she started up our LR3 a suspension fault, transmission fault, HDC fault and a couple lights lit up on the dash. She mentioned the vehicle is all the way lowered and will not raise to driving height. Any advice to what may be wrong??????

Thank you in advance.

Have the battery checked. if the battery is good then most likely you will need to pull the codes to see what is happening.

Do Land Rovers just need a simple OBDII code reader to pull the codes or do they need to be plugged into a dealer computer with OEM software to read them?

Obd2 is for the check engine light ecu only. You will need something like a 600 dollar hawkeye or something more to actually look at all the codes.

Hello LambLake LR3,

I just encountered the same problem today while driving on the freeway. All the transmission, HDC, suspension lights came on and the car slowly lowered itself. I had to exit the fwy and restart the car. Then it goes away. But it is happening now with more frequency. My mechanic says its the ABS module fault and needs to replace it.

Did you sort out your case? What was the problem?

Thanks.

Speedyshop your mechanic is probably wrong. He doesn't know squat about land rovers and I would suggest to try someone that actually works on land rovers for a living. it could be as simple as a splice or something else.

F1 Speedy Shop,

Sorry about your problem, it can be very frustrating. I live out in the boonies and the problem ended up being a chipmunk was chewing on some wires under the car. Little bastard cost me a couple hundred in damages. But I guess it could have been worse. Now I always park inside and keep a .22 handy by the door. Good luck to you.
