Valve clearances checked

Valve clearances checked
Following on from my compression test on my 4.4 V8 engine I got around to checking some of the valve clearances.
Only did those on bank 2 i.e. cylinders 5,6,7 & 8 but the results do not bode well and so I am planning to take the heads off and have them reworked.
The clearance found were;
Cylinder.....................5....................... 6......................7......................8
Exhaust...........0.28 and 0.28.....0.30 and 0.30......0.21 and 0.12.....0.17 and 0.17
Inlet.............<0.05 and <0.05...<0.05 and <0.05..0.17 and 0.16....0.17 and 0.13
Given that the clearances tolerances should be Ex. 0.23 - 0.27 and
.................................................. ...............In. 0.18 - 0.22
Not one of the valves is at the correct clearance and the cylinders with the lowest compression readings were 5 and 6 which also have the worst valve clearances. Given that the compression results for the other bank was not just as bad I would not expect the same bad results, never the less I will get both heads reworked and maybe have hardened seats fitted in the exhaust ports because of the LPG. Now just need to set a day to do the strip down.
