Default Warranty question

I'm strongly considering purchasing a 2006 HSE LR3. I am however concerned about the reliability ratings this vehicle has received. Cars break down and have issues, I can accept that. My big concern is that the nearest dealership is over an hour away. Does the LR warranty cover transporting the vehicle to the dealership? Anyone have experience with the dealership at Hoffman Estates in IL?

Any thing else i should worry about?

PS - My father-in-law strongly urged against an LR due to reliablity (friend had a bad experience) if I get it I don't want an 'I told you so!'

Default RE: Warranty question

If you buy from the dealer alot of them will come get it. I purchased an extended warr. that is suposed to pay for it to be delivered to the dealer if i brake down
luckly i have not had to use it. My cousins wife is from GB and he was raving how well LR is made and that you see the old ones all over. I have also seen stated like 75% of LRs built are still in service. that is impressive. I was in the exact same situation as you are my dealer is almost 3hrs away and i live in the middle of BFE. I did a car fax check and called the orig dealer that serviced it to get what was exactly done and they were helpfull. so i went ahead and bought a used LR3 from a non LR dealer
and have not had any problems. just a new batt, steering wheel, ash tray door, and my sun roof was whistling noise and the put in a new one it took 2 visits. i have been verry pickey with every thing since i still have my factory warr. but i love this vehicle. i would buy it again but i would try for an hse and the heavy duty pkg. My father in law tried to talk me int an escalade or denally and i as so happy i did not get one. plus it is fun to hear my wife tell him how much she LOVES this vehicle kind of like an I told you so! so tell him to get the hell off your cloud and get the vehicle after carfax report in your hand and proper research but that has to be done even with a toyota.
shop around the value has droped a bunch since the fall you should pay 20-25k ebay 2006 hse 20k
