Action camera upgrade!
Tested a new camera that acts like a drone with a gimbal (Insta360 OneX).
Velcro and bungee cord mounted the pole to a few different spots on the LR3 to see how it looks :

Pretty happy with the initial results.

So is it a camera or a drone? Where is it on the LR? Does it tell where the parts are that fall off like your plate?
Interesting but very confusing video.

@krick3tt Its a 360 camera on an 'invisible' stick The two 180 cameras overlap slightly and digitally erase the mounting pole..
No aiming of the camera required. It records everything in all directions in VERY HIGH resolution and stabilized.
From the sphere of 360 video, I select what rectangle of HD footage you want to export to a video like above.
In editing, you can pan tilt, zoom, and track objects. Less work setting up shots, but little more work editing.

I also added wireless phone charging to the LR3, but thats much less exciting. Test fitting new 17" BFG KM2 tire this week....

morrisdl,

Thanks for the explanation. It still escapes me and I think it is something I would have to 'see' in person. Never the less it is fascinating.
I still plug my phone in to a cable to charge it. Guess that makes me a bit old school.

did you remove the wheels to get the inside? I want to try it on mine but I'm afraid it won't hold up. Especially when changing tires.

Yes, they'll get knicked on tire change. If you don't lay the coat(s) on thick enough it's a pain to remove. It's not resistant to gasoline. etc etc. I suppose it's good for its original use of painting raised emblems but that's about it.
