Lucky You !
On the topic, I have just changed motor oil, topped off diffs,T case and replaced brake pads all around as the front sensor went off few days a go. Good thing it went now and not during Winter Romp. I can see a few dents on big resonator and fuel tank after a last VOR. Vomit Hill and famous Crack took slight toll on few truck parts. Will try to get a rear steel bumper before Romp as I almost lost a plastic one few times coming off the creek at Bruce's.

Had a caliper guide pins freeze solid at romp last year so I had a dragging brake. That was a pain in the butt

Today I picked up my Land Rover from the shop. They said engine was running fine...still has a miss at low idle.... engine light still on.

None of this was happening before I brought it in to the other shop, now they cant seem to know what to do with it.

Also tell me I need a new engine wiring harness..... not sure how that helps me pass an emissions test.

I give up. Mechanics are all bastards

ArmyRover,
How do you fill DEVON fuel tank skid plate is like ? Well made, light, good fit overall ? I am planing to buy one from UK vendor before Romp. Previously purchased items from Mantec and Rasta did not impress me at all. M,antec transmission skid plate needed modifications and bending and Rasta rear Diff guard was badly designed as far as fit to the point that I give up install on the driveway.

It's a decent option. Certainly not as beefy as other choices out there right now. It lined up well and bolted up nicely. Keeping in mind you don't have to pull the stock tank mount. Just the 2 front and one rear bolt. So no messing with the tank is a plus.

I think it will do what I need.

Installed upper and lower front poly bushings. Never really wanted to but had so many customers asking for them with no real feedback to offer.

take my rig to my alignment guru and first thing he tells me is poly bushings suck...

Installed new Interstate batteries today for start battery and aux battery. 30 month guarantee for free replacement, then pro-rated.
Good to see the voltages in the 12V+ area and not at 11.4. That was enough to start but not holding the charge after two days, then down to 11.4 again. Got a long distance trip coming up so not interested in taking chance in the far back country of SoCal.
Next is oil/filter change, got 5400 mi since last one. I can do it but usually in the street. Since there is lots of snow where I usually perform this I will take it to my mechanic.

Long weekend already! ...but worth it. Installed new rotors, break pads, fluids, tires on the ‘08 LR3. Too beat to upload pics but made some DIY videos and pics to post, just want to make labels and figure out best spot to drop them. Took way to long to do this project, absoultely every screw/bolt/clip was siezed up, so was running around on the bike for replacements I hadn’t purchased. But feel a lot better about things now... will add to this thread later.
