What did you have before your LR3?
Well, I had an 05 Durango LTD 4x2 Hemi....which I bought new in 05. It was Silver on gray. Shortly after buying it, I started taking it to the mountains. It kinda made me sad that I couldn't do any trails. And if it snowed, I'd be SOL. But, it did fine in town. So it was going to stay for some time. Now to 07. I had just bought my 2nd Jeep, a Liberty 4x4. So my wife and
I decided we wanted to trade the Durango on a Commander. So, we visted Car Max, as they had a 4x4 Xk. Didn't like the color, white. Well, behind it was an 06 Lr3 Hse, black on tan, favorite color combo. It was beat up, so we took it for a spin just to see how they are in general. Loved it. Went to the LR dealer, and decided that a 4.4 SE would be our choice. Sadly, 45K wasn't in the budget. Now to 2010: , Durango was burning oil at a rapid rate (quart per 4k), and that's a common issue with Hemi's from what I under stand. The pinion seal also was replaced....and it just felt old. Plus I sorta hated the color combo. So, the same dealer that I bought the Durango from new had a black 07 LR3 on tan. Went to look at it, was in great shape. Sat in it, had the new car smell. Looked under it, and it was clean, and had SKID PLATES! So, I took it out for a drive, alone with wife and son and daughter, we all loved it. Had it out for almost an hour. So, we go to talk numbers, and long story short, we drove it home after some negotiating. Took it to the LR dealer for help w/ satellite radio, and got the 30k service for free! Loving the Land Rover.

All 4 wheel drievs: 1995 Nissan Pathfinder, 1997 Jeep Wrangler, 2001 Audi TT quattro convertable, 2003 Toyo 4Runner, 2004 Nissan Xterra, 2006 LR3 (Still have), 2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
They were all fun! Even though both Nissan's transmissions grenaded, the Jeep was still the least reliable of the lot. TT was the most customized. Cayenne most expensive to maintain. 4Runner was the most reliable / least expensive to maintain.

'84 Ford Bronco II (Dad bought for me, I had no say in it), '97 Mitsubishi Montero (my son still drives this; 275k on the clock; bulletproof), '05 LR3 HSE (still my baby, 124k), '14 Infiniti Q50S (the most fun to drive of this group), '03 Mitsu Montero Sport ($3500 throw-away vehicle meant mostly to take miles off the LR3).
