What kind of TPMS sensor
I have just acquired a low mileage 2008 LR3 and have some issues with the TPMS system.
Can anyone confirm whether the 2008 model year tire pressure sensors are direct or indirect and whether they are 433 or 3154 MHz?
Thanks!

TPMS can work in two different ways;
Direct TPMS gathers accurate pressure data directly from the tire valve via four dedicated sensors, reporting pressure information in near real-time.
Indirect TPMS uses the ABS system to approximate tire pressure, and motorists must drive a substantial distance before an alert will be generated.
I believe that Land Rover only uses Direct TPMS but I don't know that for a fact.
The Rover uses actual sensors attached to the valve stems - so it is a direct TPMS. I have another car (Mini Cooper) that uses the indirect method (no sensors). I like the Mini's better because it's just simpler and doesn't deal with battery issues etc...
