What do you use in your 6HP26 transmission?

 

I chose MerconSP after extensive research. It was far cheaper (about $75 for 12 quarts) and is used in the same ZF 6HP26 used in the Lincoln Navigator. Also didn't find any negative feedback from the folks who have switched to it.

 

On 6HP transmissions, we only use LifeGuard6. 5HP units get Pentosin ATF1 (not applicable to LR3).

 

I use LifeGuard6, but if/when I do my next flush, I will likely replace with MerconSP.

I use LifeGuard1 in the L322 (5HP tranny)

 

Thanks for the replies. Based on the above and others' posts which show Blackstone analysis almost identical between LG6 and MERCON SP, I plan to go with the much cheaper and more readily available (in USA) MERCON SP. The only difference appears to be a red dye.
