Where are the new LR3's?
I've noticed over the past few visits that my Houston LR dealers supply of new LR3's has been dropping steadily. At one point, they even had red tags on most of them offereing 7500-8000 off MSRP. When I showed up last week, I noticed that they now only have 2 LR3's on the entire lot, and those are tarted up models with lots of aftermarket wheels, tires, other accessories. They probalby have , 10 LR2's, 35 RR Sports and 20 RR's sitting there, so it's clear something is up with the LR3
I know the LR3 is not due for a major design change for several more years, but cannot figure out what's wrong. Looking at these forum posts, I would not be surprised of LR had decided to halt production as the warranty expenses must be dragging down the whole company, but I'm sure it's not anything like that.
Does anyone have any insight? I'm just curious, as if they were to be about to pull the plug on the LR3 or come out with a major design change, I'd like to know now before my resale value takes an even steeper plunge than it has already.

from what i understand they opened a new dealer of 59 in houston , i know there is one in katy .....not sure how dealers work (sell cars to each other or trying to outsell the other ???? ) but maybe the opening of a new dealer so close has something to do with it ...i may completly wrong .....just a thought .
i havent used either , i just moved to houston from florida then louisiana
how have they treated you over there ?? im up for my 30000 mile service on my lr3 never one problem ! except the goodyears knock on wood !!

I think LR3 is the largest seller in the lots. It is the only rover with seating for 7, offers the most room for both Cargo and passenger, same basic truck under the sheet metal as a RR minus a few extra toys reserved for those wanting to pay the extra 30-70K. The RRS looks neat but rides rough and the oversized wheels and tires say "this rover was not meant to go off road". The LR2 is a great SUV but not a true off roader either. So they are just probably selling better than the rest of the line up.
