What tent did you choose and why? How is it mounted? (safari type rack, aftermarket rails, trailer, etc.) Do you mind having to pack up every morning? I'm on the fence about buying one. The biggest draw back in my mind is that we typically set up camp and move out (and back) from there. I like the idea of more space than our backpacking tent and a mattress thicker than my sleep pad.

This may be better suited for a large less vehicle specific forum, but I like you guys more!

 

I have one on my LR3 currently, the plan is to build a camp trailer though in the long run.

First camping trip is coming up on the way to Rovers at wintergreen, so I will let you know what I think.

 

Just received my Frontrunner tent today. Will be mounting on my Frontrunner slimline II Rack in a few days with the quick release tent mount kit.
