Default Yellow Brake light on with Passenger Seat removed?

Will the Yellow brake light on the dash come on when the front Passenger seat is disconnected and removed from the LR3.

I took the Front Passenger Seat out to dry up damp carpet padding and inspect wires. Right now the issue I am working on hasn't showed back up (YET!!! Said that many times before) but now I have the yellow brake dash light on. Didn't really do anything with the brakes.

Yellow brake light could be low fluid level or bad sensor on the cap of the master cylinder or a bad connection to the sensor on the cap. Or it could be related to the parking brake mechanism.
Not really sure how the seat would figure in, but hey, its a Land Rover so anything is possible.

Well it went off, about to put yet another cluster in and ship the original one off to Cluster Fix.

Wish me luck

Have you tried pulling every single fuse and relay from non-critical systems? Part of me thinks can-bus as you I think suspected too. But what is nice about CAN bus is you can disable modules anywhere along it and it will still work - like computers on a local office network being turned off, the whole network is still fine. Unlike MOST which is a loop and requires every device to be powered so it can at the very least relay information along the fiber. But the LR3 is fussy, disabling HVAC for example can cause a no-start - well at least if the HVAC panel is pulled, that I know.

you may have annoyed the SRS system because of the airbag in the seat. We did that while detailing a Volvo and we had to take it to the stealership to get it turned off. Looks like you gave it the seat and it's happy again.
Why the yellow brake light? Because LR maybe.
