Default ‘12 LR4 vs ‘08 RRSsc

I am new to Land Rover and I am looking at a’12 LR with 30k miles and a 08 RRSsc with 48k miles.
i know the 5.0 is not as reliable as the 4.4, but how does it compare to the 4.2sc? Both have low miles for their age but the LR is 4 years newer, I don’t know if that has a significant effect on plastic parts, bushings, etc....

thank you

4.4 and 4.2SC are more hardy. 5.0 can’t take overheating and the earlier versions have a faulty chain guide/ tensioner system.

if both are properly cared for they are reliable.

I'd go for 4 years newer and the LR4. Plus you get good sized third row when needed and excellent internal space
Check for service history, and have it independently assessed to ensure there aren't any issues. They can be expensive to repair
