I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport HSE with the 5.0, 66k miles. Love the truck. Runs great, is comfortable and looks good too. I had our 2006 Range Rover Sport in the shop for some poltergeist issues. The shop owner suggested that I dump the 2010 asap. He said that they are notorious for bad chain guides and catastrophic timing chain failure, a huge ticket repair. He tends to exaggerate a bit. Is the timing chain guide/chain issue common. Does it happen to all 5.0 liter engines? Anyone know the percentages of engine issues due to chain guides or chains jumping and ruining the engines? thanks Phil
