2010 Range Rover Sport/LR4 Cooler Box Retrofit
I have a 2010 Range Rover Sport. It did not come equipped with the center console cool box, cooler, fridge under the center console arm rest. It did have a nice storage space however. All of our other Range Rovers and the LR3 had the cooler box and I thought that this one needed one too. I sourced a cooler box out of a salvage yard for around $50 as I recall. Some said that the Truck would need dealer programming to power on. I finally got around to installing the cooler box and plugged it in. I removed the storage box, two screws on the front lip and remove the arm rest, storage box top. The storage box itself is pushed down into place. Once the screws are removed, the storage box has a push-in plug on the bottom, so give it a good pull up to remove. Install the cooler box by setting it in the open space, and push down to seat the plug. The center console is pre-wired for the cooler box. I clipped the zip-tie to give a little more wire to plug in the cooler box. Started the Truck and flipped the cooler box switch and bam, green light next to the switch came on (our LR3 and '06 Range Rover Sport have blue lights on the cooler box switches). The cooler box worked perfectly. So, no need, at least in my case, for the dealer to program anything. It is a great addition for a non-cooler box Truck. Phil
