This game that some play of musical part swap without diagnosis and confirmation of root cause takes too much time and money for me.
Moreover, at the dealer, parts AND labour have a warranty and free replacement. Its a crap shoot with some independents.
Thankfully my inde is also an authorized JLR service centre. Some tasks get done at the dealer. Others at the inde. Its interesting they both charge the same rate and charge the same for quality parts.

I hope you got a break on the labour due to this error.
