2011 LR4-crank but no start after coolant crossover replacement
I am having a serious problem after replacing the front and rear coolant crossover pipes. For some reason now the truck will crank, but will not start or catch now.I pulled two coil packs and am getting spark. Checked compression and all looks good. The plugs are totally dry after several cranking attempts, leading me to conclude that the injectors are not firing at all. There appears to be fuel pressure as when you crack open the fuel lines there is pressure.
I ordered an icarsoft scan tool for land rover, but it hasn't given me any useful data. There are no useful codes coming up, but the dash is lit up like a christmas tree with all sorts of errors, none of which where there prior to replacing the coolant crossover pipes, nor are they even remotely related to the engine/coolant system.
Where should i go from here? I am at a loss as to what could be going on. It almost seems as if the ECU just decided to fail at this point.

Couple years ago, someone doing this same job mixed up the manifold diverter plug and the coolant temp sensor plug at the back of the engine near the rear crossover. Here’s the thread, and post #8 shares the diagnosis: https://www.landroverworld.org/threa...eplaced.41653/. Hopefully your problem is that simple.
If that doesn’t work, it might help to post the OBD codes that are showing (you say there are no “useful” codes coming up, but I take it there are some codes - just nothing that seems to be related). I would write those codes down, clear them, and try starting the car again. Then check the codes again and see if they keep popping up.

That’s great news! It was such an oddity the first time I heard the story that it really stuck in my mind. Really bad planning on the part of LR to put swappable plugs right next to each other. You’re the second person I’ve shared that story with in an effort to solve the no-start problem after swapping the coolant pipes. I never heard back from the first person, but glad to know it helped here.
