I have a 2011 LR4 that has developed a noise that sounds like a bad pulley or bearing, but the noise is actually coming from the transmission at the torque converter. Any ideas on what is causing it? If the car is cold it takes it several seconds to start the noise and it last for a few seconds after the car is turned off.

 

Wondering if you managed to figure out the source of and/or solution to this noise? My 2011 LR4 just started making this exact same noise today, and I’m at a loss as to what it could be.

 

yes, it was the transmission. I drained and filled the fluid and it stopped immediately.
