2014 LR4 New tires
Without any customization, what what be the best all terrain tire for the 255/55/R19 size. Doesn't seem to be many options. Falken Wildpeak A/T or the Toyo open country all terrain appear to be it. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Depends on the aggressiveness of the AT tire.
I always double check my ideas with https://www.wheel-size.com/calc/
I happen to really like the pirellis ATs I decided on. I’m about 70% road driving, 30% off road. They are 255/55 19. Meaning if I have a suspension failure, even with the body on the stops, these tires can still roll.
And I’ve had mud to the axles, np. And climbed sand and rock (though I did drop the pressures). Despite the theme by many, I did not want LT tires as the hard side wall doesn’t suit me.

And so I’m not misinterpreted, where I live you’re crazy to not have winter tires in the winter.
We get all the nasty stuff in the winter.
Those pirellis are for the other 3 seasons. Currently I have Michelin X-ice snow suv and snow straps (like chains) if I need them.
