2015 LR4 Air Suspension issue
Hi everyone. I have an issue with my 2015 LR4 air suspension. After driving for 2 - 5 minutes, the 'normal height 'bar' on the height switch extinguishes and I get a "only normal ride height available" caption on the warnings panel. If you pull over and switch off ignition, it resets itself, and you can drive with everything showing normal height for another few minutes, and then it happens all over again. I have checked that the car does not drop over night, and all is well. I have changed the height control relay, and the front block valve, as cheaper parts and relatively easy to do to start with, but fault is exactly the same. When first starting, you can select 'raise' and it will rise, all be it slowly at the front - rear seems to go straight up (hence changing the front block valve first). Just noticed compressor seems to run for a longer time than it used to. Any ideas? Think it may be the compressor is no longer man enough. If it was a leak, surely it wouldn't reset so quickly and operate for a few minutes - just thinking out loud. Apologies if this is an old subject, but although plenty of posts about air suspension, couldn't find one that was exactly like this one. Any suggestions warmly received.
quick check. pull the EAS fuse and let sit overnight. THis will disable the auto leveling feature and then measure each wheel from center to middle of fender flare. see if the two fronts remain the same and the two rears remain the same. if so, you probably do not have a leak. The compressor may be weak or the dessicant filter container may be clogged or coming apart. Also may not be exhausting properly. In an case, reading the EAS stored codes would be the best option to determine the cause.
Thanks for the speedy reply. Have tried the fuse out exercise and the vehicle stayed at the same height for 24 hours both front and back so happy no leak from the four corners. Will try using the iCarsoft LR11 that I bought last year - never used it so far so will be new to me. Is the dessicant filter in the long metal tube under the drivers seat (external on the bottom of the car?).
Swapping parts without evidence is an expensive way to deal with this. What codes have been thrown?
FYI, there is a maintenance kit for the pump provided by LR and the desiccant is included in the kit. Yes, the canister is a part of the pump. The workshop manual shows the process.

compressor. Long tube is the air reservoir.
Thanks for reporting back!
Its cheaper to replace the dryer, than the whole pump
I was wondering if placing a proper skid plate around the pump would be worthwhile…
