Default 2016 LR4 3.0v6 please help I need guidance. Anyone please

I am new to forums and never posted in one and have no choice but to look here for some kind of guidance I have a 2016 LR4 landmark edition black on black with the 3.0 v6 long story short I was 1,000 miles past warranty and the head gasket blew and I drove it still got a very hot I'm very sure the motor needs replaced the whole thing is there anybody here that can help me figure out what my best course of action is. Truthfully what I need to know. Is Candice engine be pulled and put back in without taking the body off cuz I can only afford the engine and really not even that I still owe $15,000 on the vehicle and my wife's gonna kill me. I've been so stressed over this can barely sleep or if there's a different engine I can swap in it's cheaper any guidance would help please

Call your insurance company. Mechanicals are not normally covered, but engine replacement, with labor, is more than you owe on the car. It's worth a shot to see what they say.

otherwise, you can do it slowly over time and continue to pay off the vehicle while gaining mechanical prowess. There is a thread somewhere where someone pulled a blown engine out the front of the vehicle. Obviously radiator and core support needs to come out, but would be easier to do in your garage than raising the body off the vehicle.

On a 2016 Landmark, engine replacement plus labour may well be a lot less than you owe on the vehicle. I'd get in touch with Land Rover if it was a LR warranty and see what they can do about it. They may (should) meet part of the cost. I'd push this as far as you possibly can, including using a lawyer to see what they'll do. 1000 miles out of warranty puts you in as strong a position as you could hope for. But...: Is the warranty that ran out 1000 miles ago a LR warranty?

I think you'd want to remove the body to change the motor. It'd be far less trouble, although I think someone managed to do it. I can't recall but will have a look. I'd def remove it even though it's a bit of up-front hassle.

Thank you I appreciate you. But I have no clue how I'm going to take body off. I have no lift of that nature. I saw videos of it. It's not horrible but to raise body like that I don't see how possible unless I have lift. I'll keep searching also for way to do it without and compare but still smh how I lift off

I can’t offer much on whether or not to pull the body. But, if you haven’t already looked, you can probably save many thousands by sourcing a used motor from a wreck. If you can’t find a Land Rover motor, the same SCV6 engine was used in some Jaguars, so you could check those as well. With the money saved on the motor, you could probably pay someone to install. Or, if you want to do it yourself, there might be some DIY garages around that will rent tools/space to lift the body. Better yet, if you have the space, you could buy a lift for about 2-3K or so (not sure what they cost these days) and then sell it when you’re done. Good luck and sorry to hear of your troubles.

Next thread I opened after posting showed a project with the engine coming right out the front:

I know you guys probably won't ever check back or whatnot but I'll get a motor and I'll put it back on the road and I'll use that post I'll let everybody knows how it goes my LR4 is black on black landmark edition mint condition I'll sell it as soon as the motors done I've seen him going for $40,000 at least but I'm done I'll sell for $25,000 if any of you guys are interested I'd sell it for $15, 000 as is just to get out of the loan like I said it is and mint condition black on black
