Brembo Brakes on an LR4
Absolutley hate the brakes on the LR4. I know it is a heavy vehicvle, and the newer LR4's have 2 pot calipers, but braking is poor vs the BMW X5 I came out of which weighs less, but had 1 pot calipers.
Consistancy and modulation sucks. I am either standing on them or they are stopping too soon. Took it into the dealer and they bled the brakes, but not a real difference.
Anybody put the Brembo brakes off the RRS on an LR4?
I know the debates that a BBK doesn't improve stopping distance, but it has other benefits such as less rotational mass, better pedal feel and steering turn-in. Had a BBK on an M6 and currently have one on my M3 track car. Day and night difference.

How many miles on your brakes, have your flushed the brake fluid?
Might consider Akebono ceramic pads, they are about the best pads on the market, they don't squeak, make dust, they stop quicker and last longer.

Took it back again thinking it might be time to start talking lemon law. The finally found a caliper seal leaking. Replaced it at just got it back. I hope this fixes the issue.
