Condenser Fan Replacement
So I was told my AC fan is not turning when I took it because of no AC, blower is working because hot air blows inside the cab. So is there a not so difficult way to see if it is the fan or the fan relay? First thing I was told was your fan isn't turning.
You're referring to 2 completely different fans, title says condenser fan which's located in the engine compartment and blows air over the various radiators. The post refers to the blower fan which's located in the dash for climate air circulation. SO which fan's NOT spinning, engine or climate?
The condenser fan's connected to the engine's flywheel. Are you saying it remains stationary at all times? If so then the clutch on the fan's like done and the entire assembly needs replacing. If it is spinning, the question's what RPM? If you've access to proper diagnostics, there's routines for commanding specific fan speeds. How the ECU commands rotation speed's dependent on various inputs such as ambient temp, coolant temp and HVAC pressures and status.
