Default Direct Injector Service

Hey guys. Im in the process of rebuilding a 2012 LR4 with the 5.0. It has 96k miles on it. I bought it through a auction with it listed as mechanical damaged. I assumed it would be a timing chain issue. I have no compression which i knew would be a possibility. Anyways, when I pulled my fuel rail on the right bank two of the injectors came with it. They didn't seem all that dirty, I am debating having all my injectors sent to a direct injector service repair location for checking and cleaning. What do the experts think?

I've got mine boxed up and am planning to send them out for rebuilding as well. I searched the Internet a little bit the other day and it looks like this guy runs a small injector shop.

https://www.mrinjector.us

He is advertising a rebuild on the these direct injectors of $25 a piece. That includes the upper O ring and the Teflon seal. Having to go out and buy these pieces and rebuild them myself would cost at least half that just to acquire the consumable pieces. Then to really clean them and test them would not be something I can do at home anyway.

His name is Bill and he is very responsive by email.

I have them all boxed up but didn't ship them out yet because I was not moving as quickly as expected on getting the heads redone. I just got my tools in to do the valve job myself. Will probly mail the injectors out this week though.

Injectors went out today. I'll let you know how they look when they come back.

I got the injectors back from bill at Mr. Injector today. Excellent service. Great job. Reasonable price. He really provides a lot for the $25 per injector service cost.

He went the extra mile and individually vacuum packaged each injector. The service also includes new O ring and plastic washer at the top, as well as new Teflon seal at the bottom. I also really appreciate the flow report showing the improvement Before & After.

The injectors cleaned up really well, and basically look new at this point.
