Default Disco4 2015: Tires tires tires :-)

Dear all
Totally new here, and I apologize if this has been asked 200 times before. I have a a discovery 4 2015 on 20 inch rims and I need new tires.
The problem is that I live in Uganda, and just imported the car from the UK, with completely worn tires (I am now very proficient in changing tire), and it seems that the 20 inch rim is causing me substantiel challenges in finding tires, especially with an AT thread in the size 255/50/r20.
And now to the question:
What are my options for sizes that will be able to fit the wheel well without any modifications and without buying new rims.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance
Søren

I believe about a 31” diameter is your max that will fit. This size calculator should help you find a size that will work. Maybe you can have them shipped in? I also found a few Land Rover specific shops in Uganda that could advise you on a Google search.

I’ll bet these folks would be able to advise you on local services too. The Land Rover Uganda Club

good luck!

You can also run a 255/55/20. I currently have the Toyo Open Country AT3's that I put on three month's ago and have no issues whatsoever with size. I absolutely love them. Highly recommend!

Default Thanks

Thank you for the suggestions and advice. The 31 diameter was a key answer since it goes above 3% difference to current tire, and knowing others have succes with it was critical. I will join the LR Uganda club and expand my search to included 255/55/r20

Thanks again

Hi mtaylo
Thank you for you r comment
When you increased the tire size, what did you do with the spare tire? did you also change that to a larger size?

thanks

Søren,

I still have the stock spare tire which is not recommended. Waiting to find a matching 5th rim so that sizing is all the same. I would recommend you do that as well if you end up going that route.

Matt
