Door locks don’t lock by remote

Door locks don’t lock by remote
The door locks on our 2010 Range Rover sport will not lock using the remote. The remote buttons work. The mirrors fold in but the doors won’t lock. After repeated pushing of the remote lock Button the doors don’t lock but the alarm goes off when the door is opened. Is this a remote programming issue or a computer issue? Any help geatefullly accepted and appreciated. Phil

Okay, got it figured out. The truck can sense the remote in proximity. It will allow the doors to be opened, locked or not if the remote is close to truck. All is well. thanks Phil
