Now that the v6 supercharged engine has been out for a while, how does it compare to the 5 liter for reliability and cost due to maintenance? I’m guessing 6 of one, half dozen of the other. But would appreciate some opinions.

tks!

SCV6 and SCV8 are identical, however the older N/A V8's easier to service and has few parts to fail.

Thanks. I was thinking of the non supercharged v8’s. I think these were 2010-2012. makes sense they would be less difficult due to not having the supercharger. I know the supercharger has issues with oil leaks and I’ve red that the newer engines are not really better on timing chains or cooling system issues vs the non supercharged v8’s. With that said, probably better off to looking for the older version. Either that or try and find an lr3 that isn’t trashed. But I really like the interior of the lr4.

The perfect LR3 just sold on bringatrailer, V8 with the HD pack, and 50k miles. I considered throwing my hat in and picking that sweet guy up, but just couldn't bring myself to deal with the hassle right now.
