Default Famous Warning: "Oil level monitor system fault" - is our Road Trip doomed?

Hi!

We are just underway on a 1000 km road trip and we get this warning.

⚠️ Oil level monitor system fault

A get mixed results when I use Google. Is this just a sensor warning or should I cancel the roadtrip / and or go rent a Toyota? 😵‍💫 The only sensible LR mechanic in my area of Sweden is on vacation or fully booked anyway.

Anyone experienced this before? What would you do?

Thanks for any advice! 🙏😊

How long ago was the oil changed. If you have no history of oil consumption or leaks, I’d continue the journey.
If you’re not sure, (I use Trip B to monitor this) change the oil, and continue the journey.

However, I change mine every 5-6 000 and the consumed is minimal.

if you're worried about oil level, go get an oil change and ask the techs to measure what comes out and monitor for oil leaks.

if the correct amount of oil comes out and no major leaks are noted, continue on the journey and worry about the sensor when you get back home.
