Gap Tool to program additional Remotes
When we got our 2010 Range Rover Sport, it came without a key, it was a theft recovery. I ordered and new remote/key from the dealer and had them program it......$500 later, I have been operating with just one working remote/key. I bought a Gap Tool a few years ago for use on our LR3 and 2006 Range Rover Sport. I worked great. I bought a used key off of ebay for the 2010 and left it sitting in a drawer, never try to program it because I hadn't enabled the Gap Tool to the 2010. I then picked up a brand new, never-programmed remote. I finally synced the Gap Tool and the 2010 and attempted to program the two extra remotes. Went through the steps but the Gap Tool indicated that the programming was not successful. I checked the batteries....dead as doornails. New batteries and success. I now have three working remotes for the 2010. Simple steps using the Gap Tool. Absolutely amazing product. If I could just figure out how to use all of its power. I think that I paid $30 for the ebay remote and $50 for the brand new one. Much better than the dealer $400 plus. All the best. Phil
