Jack access removable skirt panels?
You'll have to forgive my generic term for this - I don't have a manual for my 2014 RR, so I'm not sure what they are called. They are the plastic panels that snap onto the lower skirt under the doors to allow access for jacking points on the frame.
I purchased the vehicle and they were removed, when I went to put them on, a few of them are loose (they would rattle off when driving for sure), all the tabs are present - none have broken off. When I inspected how they fit on, the plastic skirt had been bent (but not cracked or broken) likely during jacking the vehicle up. This minor bend is just enough to keep the panel from snapping into place properly.
For proper fitment, I'm sure I'd have to replace the entire skirt, but in the meantime, I was thinking about drilling a hole in the underside of the panels and securing them to the skirt with a screw. Has anyone else run into this issue with loose access pieces, and is there something else I should try before my solution?
