Default Jaguar engine

I read a post somewhere that the Jaguar engine is the same as the engine in land rivers from 2010 to 2013. Anyone out there have any info on this? The Jaguar engines can be purchased about 3k cheaper.

Yes, 5.0 liter is the same. Depending on the model it could have a different oil pan.

I think you will find the oil pan is different. The LR4 pan is deeper to hold more oil for off road use. There may be other differences in the bell housing to accept a different transmission.

We bolted a Land Rover 5.0 into a 2 door jag(can’t remember the model), oil pan was the only difference.
