Juttering/shuttering, have tried it all HELP
****All right, anyone here have some insight to this issue: ***
Back ground 2010 LR4 had transmission rebuilt one year ago due to failure codes resulting in 3rd gear bushing wearing. Complete rebuild with torque converter and solenoids. Drove 10k miles since and began to have issue where truck would delay shifting into Drive from Reverse and kicking forward at stop lights. Two weeks later we had a judder (like driving over a cattle guard feeling) throughout all gears but mostly from 3-4 gear and on highway speeds you’d get a low frequency vibration which would disappear as you let off the gas or increase RPM above 2,000.
Had car gone though at an Indy shop who recommended the rear drive shaft replace due to damage. Once shaft got replaced on my way home judder still present and then got transfer case code for faulty Transfer Case Unit. Had tons of lights and couldn’t change traction setting or ride height. Once TCU got replaced still had judder but transmission was functional.
Indy shop recommended transmission change, but before we did that we added Doctor Tranny and it reduced the judder but hardly. Ended up putting in a transmission with 30k miles, torque converter and solenoids that came with that tranny, we took my ECU and put it back on the truck to avoid programming. Truck drove significantly better, but a day later the kicking forward again at stops lights began and three days after the judder is back in full force and got tranny codes U0402-83(27) invalid data from TCU, P0721-85(2F) output shaft sped sensor signal above allowable range.
The Indy shop has the truck now for 6 days and can’t determine what’s causing this. I find it hard to believe that we got a tranny with the exact same problem. I feel like this is in the electronics.
Since we have owned this car (2017) purchase at 89k miles we’ve had to put two batteries in and have always gotten codes for high and left beam circuit short to battery, steering wheel modular internal fail, and LIN BUS A off with no affect to these components. Last year we changed the negative battery cable.
Long post, I apologize but am curious if anyone has had similar issue to mine. — I’m stumped and beginning to think we didn’t need to replace transmisión .
