Late Model, High Mileage LR4 ... looking for potential gotchas
I'm looking closely at a 2015 LR4 HSE with 96000 miles on it, listed currently at ~$24K. I only drive about 7K miles a year, so not too worried about the mileage.
The carfax shows no wrecks, one owner which is good, but I do see that it has been sold at auction 3 times .. Has anyone seen this before? I'm going to take it to a reputable service shop here in Austin to see if anything stands out. I'm looking for any red flags, but other than the multiple auctions, I'm not seeing any.
I'm also looking to buy an extended warranty through my Credit Union from Route 66. Has anyone had any luck with this company?

The auctions are about one month apart. I would not be worried. It looks like the original owner moved on and it was sent to auction. Some dealers will try to sell a trade on their own lot and if it does not move after some time, off to auction. Some send it straight to auction. Form there, it may be sold to a dealer who in turn did not sell it on their lot, so back to auction it goes. A month would be about right and explain the slight milage increases. Or maybe the auction house simply reports on their inventory once a month and they may have multiple auction locations again explaining the slight milage increases.
All in all, it looks very normal to me.
