Pure luck it was a wife's car the family owns a new defender,jag convertible etc. Just happened to hit the dealer as I needed a new truck, she did not drive too much or too far.

I'm in the habit of changing ALL fluids. The moment I get the vehicle, then on my schedule thereafter.
Don't forget power steering, diffs, PTU, transmission, brake...
Also, I do the alignment every year.
And, I'm happy to hear from those who do well with their aftermarket parts... but I won't gamble. I only use OE. parts (yes, I left out the M as there are varying qualities even from the same M)
The only advice you may not be aware... these vehicles do not like an even marginally depleted battery. When mine only register 12.4v, they are replaced.
