LR4 pre purchase checklist
Ok your 2 biggest issue are coolant and oil.
Question One when was the coolant last changed if never then you will being very likely be looking a plastic cross over pipes - you can check the PH if in doubt
Question Two does it use any coolant - a shot glass or less over 500 to 1000 to mile is fine, more could be an issue
Question Three how often do you change the oil,if they have to think or say as recommend timing chains are in your future 3000 to 5000 miles is your oil change range
Finally and this applies to any used vehicle examine it closely you don't care how clean it it is, how do the brake rotors look, are they grooved, Check the tire wear even or not - new cheap tires are generally a red flag. Check the carpets are they dry is there any musty smell. If you get a vehicle where teh owner has skimped on maintance you will have problems.
The only thing that you can ignore it the start stop battery, lots of people hate that feature and leave the battery dead, myself included.

To add to Richard’s good summary post:
Firstly, I for one do use the stop/start feature.
Secondly, this a big, heavy, complicated vehicle therefore absolutely, if you are not technical head in to a dealer or specialist and get it looked at.
There are many components, PTU, EPB, drain hoses, brake lines, rust points, not being able to be 4wheel aligned, BUSHINGS… the list goes on.
